We just said you were taking it too seriously.
I too use open source projects (I'm a big fan of phpbb, and I'm also working on an OS app as well), but the point is, that somewhere you have to draw the line between living of a couple off donated bucks, and actually having enough money to live on.
Ilijia has taken big steps towards increasing the quality of his product, and that is his decision.
Most commercial web applications actually run off / incorporate OS software, its nothing new
I myself won't be buying 1.0, because I can't afford it. I will continue to use 0.71, or use project pier.
