I understand what you are saying but it's not so much adding every feature we need but not limited things for a specify purpose.

What you are forgetting when you suggest we can just put it in the text field is there is no text field now for Milestones, and further, we need to be able to report on this information so the time needs to be in it's on database field.

When you have so many projects and so much business going through a system like aC the next logical step is reporting on this information.
