Would be great to have the ability add comments to tasks. Sometimes a task needs some links added or comments made during the task process. I really am missing this feature.

I think the idea is if you have a task that needs comments then it should probably become its own ticket.

Tasks are designed to be simple, functional actions that are part of much larger task - list, ticket or page.
If you need more firepower use Tickets (you'll get comments, attachments, sub-tasks, change tracking etc).
