time entry from dashboard?

Is there a way to enter time from somewhere other than within a project? What I would like to be able to do is have a time entry area where I can specify the project via drop-down rather than having to navigate into the project first.

You can use Quick Add dialog (green plus button in the main menu) to add time from any page.
