Is there a way for me to say "Show me everything that Mr. Smith is working on in Project ABC"?
I can use the "Schedule" capability, but I'd rather see his tasks by Project and in a column format so I can get a quick overview of how busy this guy is or if I can take some of his work away.

Schedule is the only way to see other people tasks at the moment.

Schedule show users calendar (available on in Corporate version). It is available from user profile page.
