I have to join that.
What I would like to see is the chance to do:
* Uploads and Downloads of multiple files at the same time
* The possibility to use ftp as an alternative, at least for administrators
On a side note: Do I see it right that uploaded files get renamed on the server? Is there a chance to change that behaviour? In that way, I could at least mimick my second option, our people in charge could download newly uploaded files by ftp.

activeCollab stores binary data on file system and file information in database. When user request a file activeCollab recreates an original file and sends it to the user. This behavior cannot be changed.
