+1 here as well.

I just ran into this issue working on my company's website redesign. I have a "Write web content" checklist set up with each content page as an individual task. For example:

/blue-widgets/index.html
/blue-widgets/why-blue-widgets-are-great.html
/blue-widgets/blue-widget-construction.html
/red-widgets/index.html
/red-widgets/what-red-widgets-can-do-for-you.html
/red-widgets/red-widget-construction.html
/yellow-widgets/index.html
/yellow-widgets/yellow-widgets-suck.html
/yellow-widgets/why-we-dont-make-yellow-widgets.html

etc

I now have these tasks in place, but just thought of another page:
/blue-widgets/blue-widget-recalls.html

Adding this task to the checklist puts it at the bottom, whereas I'd really like it to be in with the other /blue-widget/ pages.

Drag and drop task re-ordering would be a big plus.

+1.

The whole app could really use some AJAX-ifying. Tasks sorting, priority updating on the fly, that sort of thing. The interface is pretty but kinda clunky at the moment.

Are there any plans for this?

+1 for me too --- if some people actually prefer the list be by priority, how about a compromise some way to set your default choice for your AC, and then an option to choose for each list that needs the other option from within the edit feature. That would work for me, I don't see a need for priority affecting the order --- but I realize everyone thinks differently, and in some case you may work with a client who prefers this or the task may be better suited to that method.

Agreed. Click open 3 windows, check-off, open new window, then save is too many steps. AJAX'd would streamline this significantly.

Reviving a +1 from Nov 2007. Down on one knee :-)
