Hi!
I'm very interested in AC. I have a few questions before buy :)
- does AC work with PHP safe_mode on? I'm currently using AC 0.7.1 and for example files uploading does not work correctly (base restriction efect)
- can I made some changes in source code?
- is any way how to upgrade from my version AC to new or only fresh install?
- can I turn AC to simple helpdesk after finish project?
Thank for answers!

1) Not sure, youll have to wait for ilija to respond to that one
2) Changes can be made to the source code all you like, in any way you like, however it breaks the ability to upgrade since you will overwrite any changes you made with the new file versions when a release is made.
3) You upgrade by overwriting the old files with the new files specified in the upgrade post.
4) Not sure what you mean by that one, sorry :(

Hi,
1. activeCollab 1.0 does not have problem with open_basedir restriction, but we do not recommend running in on PHP with safe_mode turned on. It might work, but please see to turn safe_mode off.
2. Full source code is available so you can hack it, but you should note that upgrades might break your hacks.
3. You install activeCollab 1.0 and use migration tool to move your data from your old, 0.7.1 setup (as described here).
4. activeCollab is not designed to serve as helpdesk application, but you can use it for collaboration, issue tracking, collaborative content production etc. Try playing with the system to see if it meets your needs.
