First I just want to say we have been using 1.1b4 for a few days and it is really exciting software.

I wanted to really pay attention to security with this setup, so I put together an OpenBSD box, setup aC on an SSL port, setup the certificate, blocked port 80, was feelin pretty slick, then I realized the notification emails were going out to people in plaintext. We have people not on our internal network for mail so this is a security issue. I realized that I could edit the email templates to take out the variables that insert the update data, but I would rather have the system encrypt the outgoing emails via PGP if the user had a public key uploaded.

Question:
1. Will new versions of aC overwrite template changes I make?

Feature request:
1. PGP encryption of outgoing emails

activeCollab will not overwrite changes you make with email templates if you are using v1.1.

If you are using v1.0.6 your templates will be updated due to change in way they are stored, but we'll create backup of your existing templates.

We'll see what we can do about email encryption in the future releases.
