Installation Problem - Invalid Absolute URL
Page: 1
Last night I installed the current version of ActiveCollab. I had some problems with the installer so I used the manual method. I am installing the beta in a new directory and have the same problem. Is there a SQL script file to build the database for the beta version?

No, there is not. What type of problem are you experiencing?

activeCollab installer's URL validation is too strict and some URL-s don't pass it.
In that case use http://activecollab.com when running installer. When installer completes all the task (you have all OK messages) open config/config.php and set ROOT_URL to your actual URL (don't forget /public part - it is required unless you use this tweak to have clean URL-s).

Ilija,
Perfect... I wish I knew this Saturday night.
Anyway, I just purchased ActiveCollab. I know it will take a few weeks to understand how everything works and a few more to start getting others to use it. It seems that there is A LOT more in 1.1. Does it make sense to just start using 1.1? I understand it is beta but we have no project management solution so little bugs will not kill us as long as we don't lose the data.
I especially like the modules that are not installed by default, especially the project exporter.
Again, thanks.
Chris

While it is beta, it is pretty stable. Little quirks here and there, but nothing critical.
We use it for three of our projects for the past two months... Works fine :)
Just make sure that you make backups regularly and everything will be fine.
