I have an issue with the time log functionality:

I would like users to just be able to see and edit their own time records but not the ones of others. As a project manager working with contractors, I don't want the individual contractors/collaborators on a project to see how many hours the others have logged in. This is pretty standard I think and I am surprised nobody mentioned this so far other than in this old thread: http://www.activecollab.com/forums/topic/2523/

Is there a way to achieve this?

(So far I only see the rather clumsy workaround to create separate 'dummy' projects but that would mean I can't do project based time reporting anymore.)

People involved in the project with access to time tracking will see time logged in by all users involved in that project.

If you really want to hide time your contractors insert from other people than keep do that in separate project - every contractor has its own project where he inserts time. Only you and the contractor have access to that project.

I would like to make this a feature request then. :-)

Honestly, even within a company this can be a touchy subject, I had this situation before. ("You clocked in that many hours?!")

It would be a big improvement if timerecords could be made visible only to administrators and the person who "owns" them.

If you do this Ilijah, it needs to be optional. It is sometimes necessary for others to see the 'history' of time posted to a project.
