Centralized Bug Reporting / aC 1.1 Bugs
Page: 1, 2
Hi, I upgraded to aC 1.1.1 today, nice new features, but also found some bugs. May be I'm blind, but I couldn't find a site or thread for bug reporting here. How is this handled? Personally, I would like to see the reported bugs in one place, so none needs to report things others already did.
Here are two things that do not work properly in aC 1.1.1:
- unable to change time format - each time I select my preferred format, save it and go back to the time settings, the default format is there again
- the "Jump to project"-window misses some projects that are properly listed in the dashboards active projects list - even pinned projects are missing

And another: under 'edit ticket' is this text...
Visibility
( ) Anyone involved with onCourse project can see this
( ) Only members with: Administrator, Member or Project Manager roles who are involved with :project project can see this
Note the strange text toward the end of the second line. While we are here, this setting is way too difficult to read (far too many words to quickly see). Could I request that it be made into a checkbox:
[ ] Private ticket.
A tooltip over that text should read "Mark ticket as visible only to Fred Smith, Josephine Bloggs and George Thecat"
That would be a nice mixture of easy to read settings and useful information which doesn't get in your way.

Oh, yes and access to an ActiveCollab install for customers to log issues and monitor their progress would not only be 'eating your own dog food', but very useful to everyone so we feel our reports don't dissipate into a void.

I understand, and you getting bogged down with infrastructure and not programming new features is the last thing we all want! However, my ulterior motive in this is that if you can get ActiveCollab to work for you as a project management system with client interaction (us), then it will also work for what I need it for, which is project management/bug tracking with client interaction (our customers). I'll post some separate threads about object privacy which is stopping this for us right now.
1) Edit a project and make the start date "2008/07/01". Go to the project's main page and the summary says "Starts On: Mon, Jun 30. 2008".
2) Create a new project and use a project template. The project is successfully created with all the objects. Again, the project was set to start on July 1st and the project summary shows "Starts On: Mon, Jun 30. 2008".
In addition, all checklist task's dates are completely goofed. For example, in my debug log, I see this SQL for one of the tasks.
UPDATE project_objects SET due_on = '2008-07-07' WHERE id = '123'
In the checklist view, the task says "Due in 38 Days" and when I hover my cursor over this, the title says Sun, Jul 6, 2008.
However, when I go to edit the task, the date is "2008/06/07".
I edit the date to "2008/07/07" and in the checklist view, the task says "Due in 38 Days" and when I hover my cursor over this, the title says Sun, Jul 6, 2008.
----------
I am not exactly clear on what is happening, but so far, many of these dates are off. In addition, I am really disappointed with the date formatting. In the "Administration ยป Date and Time Settings" (see screenshot) I see the different formatting you can setup, but yet to see it anywhere in the application. None of the date formats I've seen displayed in the application match my settings and the calendar text field popup is in a format that is not typical US format. I prefer MM/DD/YYYY and it's formatted as YYYY/MM/DD, i.e. 2008/05/31.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will try and clarify. At this point, this is not usable for us and we will be forced to request a refund if these issues are not resolved fairly quickly, as these dates are absolutely critical when you are dealing with project management. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Another bug:
When exporting the default time report for "last week" as CSV, I get a file with some records, followed by this an error message:
File '/srv/www/htdocs/activecollab/application/modules/timetracking/views/global_timetracking/report_export.tpl' doesn't exists
Can't find the mentioned file in the downloaded aC 1.1.1 package.

I guess we also found some bugs. We updated to Version 1.1.1 already.
1. Uploading a File in a ticket by two different members.
One member created a new ticked and uploadet a file. The second member, who was responsible for the ticked uploadet an edited version of the file. The name of the "uploader" did not change. So it seems like both files where uploaded by the same person. It is also not possible to delete the old file. Neighter the Ticket is opened or closed.
2. Preview of edited comments doesn't update.
After editing an old comment in a discussion the preview on the startpage still shows the old content of the comment.
