One-click unsubscribe
Page: 1
In email notifications, it should be possible to unsubcribe from an issue with a single click, no login to the system necessary.
There were several ideas behind this:
1) US CAN-SPAM compliance. Current method is of questionable compliance, not that anyone is enforcing CAN-SPAM at that level, but with a $10K fine...
2) Convenience. Current process (even when logged in) is cumbersome: open ticket, find and open manage subscriptions, click X, submit (repeat if assigned as well). Gets old.
3) Privacy/netiquette. (From my BaseCamp experience of having information accidentally leaked to me from a project we were added to). All people receiving info should be transparent, and I should be able to pull myself off a third-party list (if I'm a third party) without rigamarole-- that is, without needing to find the login/pass email that a third party sent to me.
