I'm so sorry! After reading your and my post twice I reallized that I got you wrong!
So my correct answer for No. #2 would be:
You interpretet me right and it would be great if it's possible to update also the snippets on the start page.
Formating Date and Time
It's not possible setting the "Date", "Time" and "Date and Time Format" in the Formatting section. After submitting the new settings and recheck them, they are still the same like before.

The :object_type is not translated in the eMail Templates.

Text with "quote"-style is not properly displayed (at least in FF 2.0) - text is not between the quotes, it is behind both

Ah, ok. It's not a bug. That image is there to graphically indicate the quote section. It is not designed to actually surround the text.

Bugs reported in this topic have been fixed in activeCollab 1.1.2. We'll consider proposed enhancements for future releases.
PS: Although an idea about central topic for bug reports may sound OK it does not work for us. It's really hard for us to keep track of reported issues this way. Please report problems in separate topics in the future. Thanks! :)
