activeCollab, Joomla & nBill
Page: 1
Hi,
i´m not the expert in developing scripts and stuff like that, but I would try to combine activeCollab with a Joomla 1.5 Installation.
Until now i´m not really sure, if I try to simply make a LoginModule which can be used on a Joomla 1.5 Website and redirects logged in Users to the activeCollab Installation, or try to make a full featured component which integrates into Joomla 1.5.
Another thing is "billing". For now aC is not supporting Billing and Payment, nBill for Joomla would be the last part for the perfect adjustment, where the Websiteowner can offer products like Websites, Customers can purchase it right out of the Website - a Project to this is automatically generated after successfully payment, Company and User and so on.
I would like to start with this project in the next fex days, if somebody is interested in joining me to this project pls reply to this post or send me an PM/Mail

sounds good to me.
But another thing:
I have seen that this Website is built on expressionEngine?
Would it be easier to integrate aC into a System like expressionEngine as try to integrate it into Joomla (mvc)
Or doesn´t make that any difference?

im already trying it anyway - it looks really good. I only thought u r using it as well to see an expressionEngine powered Website in "Action" - but I´ve already found the showcase on their website and so I decided to try it out for myself.
I´m a bit sick of develope and design only stuff for Joomla. Need an professional Alternative which I can offer to my customers as a more comfortable solution as the OSCMS.
It also seems to me that the extensions for expressionEngine are all very professional so I wouldn´t have any troubles to install them, configure them and use them.
Whatever - I don´t want spam that Forum with anything unuseable, so I stop now;-)
thx for replay, and for reading

Hey Joe,
ExpressionEngine is awsome. I have a few bloated Joomla sites kicking around, but I started using ExpressionEngine (because of the link in the footer here). Anyhow it is nothing like Joomla. You can design pages to look anyway you want and insert EE's tags and modules to fit into your design - not like joomla's forced module system. Plus adding content is a lot more intuitive for novice users. You can strip their control panel right down to a single edit buton if you want, I have done that for one client & as they get more adapt at it I can add more functionality into thier control panel.
I'd suggest downloading the core verson adding one of their templates (available on their website) and setting up a simple site. Once you get your head wrapped around how they set things up - it's awesome!!

wow that sounds really good ;-)
I had to laugh as I read "(because of the link in the footer here)" because I started knowing this tools as well from here.
I installed it already and tried to configure it a bit, but I think I still have to play around to see how things working. Its a very bit different to a Joomla-Based Website.
Thanks anyway for your reply, I will have a look onto your Website soon.
