Why are tasks reported at the top level, but I can't see them when I push down

At the top level of the project ( when I click on the projects tab ), I can see my project has 2 tasks of 9 completed - but when I push down into the project, it says there are no tasks in the project - what am I doing wrong?

This that are considered tasks are checklists, tickets, milestones and tasks attached to pages, tickets and checklists. Do you have these objects in your project?
