Fix for broken long URL-s in activeCollab 2.1.1 [updated]

If you are experiencing problems with automatic link conversion in activeCollab 2.1.1, please download archive attached to this page.

Edited: Unpack the archive and upload each file to its respective location at your activeCollab setup.

Please let us know if you find any places that still break the URLs or if any problems arise after applying this patch.

Simply posting that it's not working does not help us a lot :( Please send us some text and URL-s that we can use for testing.

Also, can you please tell us what version of PHP are you using (this information is available in System Information block on administration page).

Hello Ilija, I copied the file in, tested and it didn't seem to work.

OK, here is modifier version from activeCollab 2.1 until we look into the problems with the latest version. Main problem is that we were not able to reproduce the problems you are reporting - it works as expected in our tests.

The fix has stopped breaking links, but I am not sure as to what it "should" be doing.

Using this example... what should the outcome be?

The file is called makeclickable, so is it meant to take a text url and turn it into a link?

Problem with old version of the modifier is that it did not recognize links at the beginning of the line. We tried to fix that, but instead made the system take more data from the text than it should. Currently we are working on completing what we started and have a reliable converter that behaves as expected. Until it's ready, use the old one (in comment #8).
