Reports Module - people reports, company stats and other improvements - preview

Reports Module was our first activeCollab module and we've hundreds of active customers. We are working on a new version for the module. Development is nearing completion so I wanted to show you what's coming.

Online demo will be available over the next few days. If you are a Reports Module customer and want early access to the new version, send me an email!

The screenshots attached are sections of the reporting results - person reports, project summary data (available within project reports and company reports), burn down chart (design improvements over current implementation) and statistics about your activeCollab installation.

Haven't included hour chart / iteration chart here.

Do these cover your reporting needs?

Hi Nirav,

This looks great, we were actually just having a conversation about having this ability and I went to the site to see if your reports module covered that --- looking forward to seeing this released. I have a few clients, that will appreciate this as well.

Thanks for the update Nirav -- this new feature was definitely the tipping point for me, I bought the reports module last night :) Thanks! I'd be happy to help test the new version if you need beta testers.

Hi Nirav!

I've got a couple questions for you...

1) Is the new version going to allow us to review these reports in real time?

2) Is there a way that the reporting function will break down the milestones per project- to be easily viewed on one page? (ie: Project --> Milestones 1, 2, 3 and whether they are completed or not)

3) How long do you expect before this comes out?

4) Do you have a list of all of the features for this? I've seen a few on your site, but it did not look completely conclusive.

Hi West,

1. Project reports will continue to be updated daily. People and Company reports will be real time.

2. We don't plan to breakdown by milestones yet.

3. We are updating some features based on feedback from some beta users. Will be releasing it soon after. Can't promise a date yet.

4. We will include the final list of features when we release the next version.

I tested Reports module's upcoming version with our live server today.

It tells me our projects are 91% done, but will never complete.

I was compelled to blog about it.
