I'm interested in bringing someone on to do a list of tasks. It's a large list so I'd like the person to track time against milestones/tasks and invoice me from within aC.
What's the best way to do this to ensure that I know all the daily tasks being carried out?
You can have a contractor that tracks time and logs it into activeCollab. We have a nice timer application available that can be used to conveniently track time. It's still in beta and Windows only, but these things will change in the next couple of days.
That person can't send invoices to you from within the system. activeCollab's invoicing module is not designed to be used by clients and contractors, but by members of owner company only.
Still, you can prepare and run time reports for that person and pay them based on that information.
I have that set up where a contractor tracks the time and enters it on to my site works just fine I had some refinements made to the system to my custom use but this could be done on ActiveCollab as well.
