How can our project manager get a list of all open tickets across multiple projects? I can't see a way to find open tickets without first having to know what projects have tickets that are open. With dozens of active projects, it's impractical to have to go through each project one at a time.
Also, is there a way to change the information show in the "Tickets" tab once in a project? Currently, clicking on the ticket tabs shows information such as the ticket number and title, but I would love to be able to see the date the ticket was opened along with who is responsible in one place without having to go through each ticket.
Try the Assignmnt button at the top (between Calendar and Search). You can set up filters to see things in one project, across all projects, across a specific group of projects, etc. and choose to see things that are Active (open) or completed, assigned or unassigned or assigned to a specific person, and so on as well as other factors. It will show more than just tickets, though. It will also show tasks and Milestones, but to me that's important as well.
With regards to the Tickets tab once in a project, you might consider the Tickets Plus add-on (see the Downloads section of AC website). It does show the assignment from the main Tickets page where the list of Tickets is, and some other nifty stuff. I'm finding it very useful. It doesn't actually show start date I don't think (I'm not in front of it at the moment), but you can sort the list by start date if you want, and it does show due date in the main list.
@ralph I was wondering how @loudly's suggestions worked out for you - I agree that Tickets Plus adds some nice info to the tickets list view and the assignments area can be helpful.
I'd be interested in your thoughts on two modules we've created called Quickify and Tabinator Pro - used together you can pin key information like open tickets and tasks to the tabs on the Activecollab dashboard and then work on them directly from there with features like preview, quick edit, quick reply, add tasks, add time, complete, etc
The Quickify features work anywhere you see a task or ticket link so you can use those features from the recent activities, calendar, tickets list, assignments views, etc too.
