I really wanted to know something, if someone can help me as soon as they can. There are a lot of new things I am wanting to add into activecollab, I was wondering if I go ahead and start building stuff onto it, will it cause problems when they upgrade versions.
I was wanting to build a module first to be able to have a link management system, and style it like the rest, and just link it up to the top left, around the area for administration, so I can keep up with all the url's and bookmarks I have.
Plus I wanted to build some other stuff into it here and there, I was really thinking about building a custom one, but it would be hard to get one of this quality, so I was just going to build a few modules from it, would this interfere with the new upgrades when they come out.

Depends on what you do, but you should know that upgrades will not support hacks you made and if you changed "system" files they will be overwrite with new versions unless you sync the changes. You could go with some sort of merge tool, but it will require a lot of knowledge of activeCollab internal structure and changes introduced in new versions.

What if I create a few modules in with the entire version, and they are fully tested, and I submit them to you, could you put them into newer versions eventaully if they are pretty good ideas?

Thats code contributing and its perfectly fine. Check out contribution page of the website, see what active branches are, where we are heading, see coding standard and development process etc.

Just to point out that its not about ideas and features count, at least not with activeCollab. Its about balance and providing hight quality collaboration tool that is easy to use more than chasing new features. More here.
