I thought that people would be interested to know that I am currently running AC (0.7 RC2) with 1000 companies, 3000 users, and 1000 projects successfully (sample data only).
Everything is working, albeit slowly. It takes about 60 seconds to load the Project Permissions page (part of that will be because I am using a UK server from Australia).
I will likely be using AC with 100 users in the near future hence the extreme testing.
Anyone have any other experience of the performance of AC under load?

If you turn debugging on (open config/config.php and set DEBUG to true) you'll be able to see time required for page generation and memory usage. Memory usage info is added recently and works only on UNIX systems so may not have the version with that.
Performance should be significantly improved in the next version because of better caching support and lighter code. For maximum performance you will still need some power tools: opcode cache and execution optimizer, memory cache, mod_deflate or mod_gzip etc.

The Project Permissions page with 1000 companies and 3000 users took 100.542639 seconds to execute. It is being hosted on a Linux VPS with 256 RAM allocated so it isn't the fastest server in the world.
It works really well with 100 users, I just wanted to see how it would cope under real pressure!
Looking forward to the new version, and hope all is progressing well. Thanks again for such a great app... i may need to click on that Donation button soon!
