manually installed;
- Apache/2.0.58 (Unix)
- PHP/5.1.4
- Mysql/5.0

There is no php4 parser, somehow when I go to "install/" there is no "Next" button, also when I go to "install/index.php?step=1" (or 2 or 3) the contents of the pages are not visible, so I could not install this software.

thanks for your helps.

umm :)

in php.ini there is something like;
----------------------------------------------------------------
; Enable compatibility mode with Zend Engine 1 (PHP 4.x)
zend.ze1_compatibility_mode = On
----------------------------------------------------------------

I changed it to "Off" and the next button appeared(!)

May this be the "script-installers" problem?

Updated installer should be available pretty soon for download and testing. I hope that it will address this issue too. I've failed to reproduce the problem on three PHP setups.

You are 100% right. There should be some way of logging errors and admin notification when something unexpected happens. I'll see what I can do about that.

Trac is also pretty good at handling bugs (called "tickets") and letting users upload patches which can be applied to the SVN trunk later by developpers. activeCollab could use that.

Yes, we will use Trac when TextDrive enables the account!
