OMG! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!! I thought I was never going to fix that...

I'll give it a go - then I'll update the template files (there are other updates as well!!). Keep your eyes peeled.

Update... That was a dead end I have tried before! How can you have tested it in Firefox? I'm running the average Windows XP Home SP2 PC with Firefox 2 and all the latest updates.

To clarify what you meant - it works in IE and Safari, but I haven't tested it in Firefox. I use Firefox as my main browser, so this solution will not work for everybody, will it??

Hello sajseven

I didn't quite understand what you want yet -- it looks great on my Firefox 2, great job!

I'd only make the base font size 2pt bigger in project descriptions, task listings etc.

(like, er... Basecamp - not for the similarity, but for the comfort)

clients 45 yrs. and older cannot read 10pt text, and will not change the font size in the browser...

Sorry all-around! I was talking to dkedinger and I fixed it myself!

I'll work on that. Maybe this could be a good feature for future activeCollab version - text bigger or smaller buttons like on some sites.

BTW... The font size is 12pt. If you must change it, visit:

theme-folder/stylesheets/general/construction.css

and change #pageContent around line 325.

Let me clarify. I tested it in IE 6, 7, (ActiveCollab doesn't work in IE 5.5), and Firefox 2(Mac) and Firefox 1.5(PC) and Safari 2.0.4. My experience is that if it works in Firefox on Mac it will work on the PC as well. But I haven't tested it with Firefox 2 (PC) as of yet. To test sites I run IE Standalone Version so I can have all the versions of IE running at one time. Sometimes buggy but a life saver nonetheless.

IE 7 standalone: http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone
IE 6, 5.5, 5, 4, 3: http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE

There are some issues still to be ironed out in the CSS but I will try to help out with those later.

thanks!

I did some more minor tweaks after that post:

it's got a tiny bit of a Wordpress 2 interface, so now I got my own ActiveWordCamp!

Oh! Sugar! I lost my computer to Windows XP! That means I'm going to have to create those updates all over again. But don't worry, this won't take long, now that I know the skin CSS more fluently.

The update is planned for 18 December (2006). For more information on what Back2Basics 0.2 will include, please visit this post on the Sail Fast forums.

sajseven (Sail Fast Forums):
The new update for the Back2Basics skin collection (Back2Basics 0.2) is planned to be released on the 18th of December, 2006. This new update will fix many things, including:

- the Internet Explorer CSS bug
- the iCal link colours

The update will also add the following new features:

- a background gradient for smooth entry
- quicker loading code
- a readme for easy installation

As I've already stated, the update is planned for 18/12/2006, so keep looking. If you do find any more problems before the 18th, please post a comment to this discussion. (Before you can post, you need a username, which is completely free.)

Enjoy!! ;)

small comment @b2basics-themes: I love them, but
- you use an ICal-Icon for the RSS-feed, I find that irritating, I guess we'd prefer an RSS-Icon like on this page-top for the feed- and the Ical-Icon for the milestones...

that's it, I might just go and change the color again, for the fun of it...
