I wish email doesn't have to be unique for several users. Here are some of my cases when multiple users share same email address:
1. As a project manager and web developer at same time, I use "admin" for system maintenance and "henry" for daily project tracking. This requires both accounts to share same email.
2. I have a support team of 3 persons who share one common "support@my-company.com".
I believe such wish will helps me a lot.

1. Why do you use two accounts when you are working with activeCollab (one administrator and one member)? Are there any benefits for your?
2. So, those 3 people don't have their own email addresses? They use that one for everything?
I honestly don't see any advantage on enabling usage of the same email address at the same (exception described below). On contrary, I see only problems.
While we are at it, I've changed the code so you will be able to have one email address used by different users but they need to be part of different companies. For instance, Peter is forking for Company A and does some freelancing for Company B. If owner company is working with both Company A and Company B Peter is than two users, but still it would be nice for him to have ability to use a single email for contact, notifications etc.
