Hi,
I'm still having trouble finding a cheap hosting that offers InnoDB. The hosting companies say that the fact that Oracle now owns InnoDB put in doubt that in the future the engine remains free. So they stopped to offer it as a default.
This consideration didn't undermine the future of activeCollab too?

Lets just say that I am not worried at all ;)

the workaround of saving local copies for commonly shared files seems ok enough for attachments, but what about common task lists? i'd love to be able to use a template/form for the same starting task list for each client. any way to do this?
...oop, sorry, i see that's in v0.8.
http://code.activecollab.com/trac/ticket/116
but i can't find any predictions about when to expect 0.8 -- any news?

Is there anyway (in version 0.7.1) to up the activeCollab session timeout without changing it for the whole server? I have been trying aC recently, and my tendency if to leave the site open with no interaction while I work, but then when I go to update information I have to re-login. It is not a show stopper, but does become something of an annoyance.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Use Remember me option if you need long session time.

Hello,
I am looking for a web-based solution to help a number of people coordinate a number of tasks, and thought I'd try out AC. I installed it via my Dreamhost account and was playing around with it to see if it might fit what I'm looking for. Is it possible within the Task List to have tasks that don't mark as "complete" when one person checks them off, but instead register who has completed the task? For example, suppose I want fifteen people to all "Turn in X Form" and check off on the Task List when they have done it. Is that possible?
Thanks for the information!

No, it is not possible. That type of behavior is not planned because is pretty specific.

I don't know much about the Forms capacity; but it seems to me that it might be a way to create a task list populated by a bunch of tasks from a "template" but assigned to different people (I could be dead wrong, but its a thought).
Hi everyone,
I have just installed aC. I must say it is really an interesting software. I have set my time zone to Singapore since I am staying in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
However, I notice a funny behaviour regarding the "DATE". For instance, I have setup a milestone on Feb, 5 Monday and it looks just fine when I am in the Milestone section. The funny thing begins when I go back to the Overview of the project, there, under Milestone, the date stated is 1 day later. Instead of Feb 5, Monday , it is stated there Feb, 6 Tuesday. I try to create another Milestone and the same thing happen.
Is this a bug? Am I the only person experiencing this? Date is crucial I think for collaborative software like aC. If there is something I need to do to set the date right, please help me out.
