We have installed ActiveCollab on our server and everything works perfectly...

Except, when you try and log into activecollab with IE 7.0 you enter you username and password, it looks like everything is working, then it sends you directly back to the login page. However, everything works fine with FireFox...

Any ideas???

Thanks!

Place to start: make sure that cookies are enabled in IE7... If Firefox is working than its not an application problem but something on browser level and only thing that crosses my mind are cookies.

Cookies are enabled. I just doubled checked.

What is interesting, is if you enter a incorrect username or password, the system returns the correct error. So this means that it is going to the DB to verify the un and pw.

It just seems like when you enter the correct information, it does not redirect to the correct location. I do agree that if it works in FF that it is not a application error. However, with no errors coming up on IE, it is very difficult to trouble shoot.

After you enter the username and password, the address line of IE 7 says the followng:

http://subdomain.domain.com/index.php?c=access&a=login&ref_c=dashboard&ref_a=index

When you get redirected to that page remove everything after ? and hit enter. If you get redirected back to login page that means that system haven't managed to remember you (most probably it failed to create a cookie). I don't have IE7 near me but there should be a tool for IE that lets you see cookie values for a specific domain - check if 'token' cookie is set.

When I do that, it returns http://subdomain.domain.com/index.php?c=access&a=login and sends me back to the login page.

I cant seem to find a setting in IE7 for Token cookie... hmmm... I will research that a bit... it has got to be something simple...

I did go through and add the site to the trusted sites, and opened up all activex and scripting options. Still no effect.

Anyone else using IE7 (or having IE7 at hand to test) has problems with logging in to activeCollab?

Btw, activeCollab does not require ActiveX or any other MS specific feature. It will run on most modern browsers no matter what OS you use.

I figured it didn't use ActiveX or any MS specific features... but I figured it wouldn't hurt to open up all the flood gates on IE... It is definetly an IE7 issue. As I have tested it with IE6 and everything works fine.

We still are having this issue... Any ideas or suggestions anyone? Can anyone test with IE7?
