Q: How to move activeCollab installation and not break it?

A: Follow this simple steps:

1. Move all the files
2. Make sure that you preserve old permissions
3. Fix URL in your config/config.php
4. If you are moving on another server that move your database. Use phpMyAdmin or any other MySQL management tool to do that
5. Delete /cache/autoloader.php and let the script regenerate it

If you are having problems with migration post a question and we'll see how we can fix it.

Hi Ilija,
I have moved the my domain/site to a different server ( with the same company ). I backed up all the files and DB for activeCollab and changed the name of the DB to fit the new account. I'm not sure the permissions are the same. Most directories are CHMOD 755.
Everything is in place, but when I go to login it goes no where. I've tried the 'remember for 14 days' check box, as there was a post about that. I've deleted the files in the /cache/

I'm wondering what I can do to access the account...?

Thanks,
Michael

Have you tried turning debugging on? Does that produce any errors?

Yes, I have debugging on, but I see no error messages.

It's funny, cause the login page just seems to refresh no errors, no nothing.
I've also tried to reset the password and that page does the same thing... nothing.

I'm using: OS X / Firefox browser, Flock, and Safari.
