I tried what vibul and gylevi have suggested but still I get an error saying that i'm running 4.3.
I noticed there is also an .htaccess file in the ROOT of my godaddy hosting account among a few other places (including activeCollabroot). Should I change them all? I did try changing two and that didn't help though either....

like the original poster, I called GoDaddy and they suggested that I rename all the PHP files to PHP5..
of course that doesn't seem like the way to go.

I then got a Godaddy support person who was a bit more helpful. He showed me this link:

http://help.godaddy.com/article.php?article_id=1082&

Which says to add THESE two lines (different from the ones posted above):

AddHandler x-httpd-php5 .php
AddHandler x-httpd-php .php4

Unfortunately this hasn't worked either..
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi cyco,

For that type of issues best thing to do is to contact your tech support and ask them to set up PHP5 for your account. It's their job to set things up for you. That is what you pay them for ;)

Hey, yeah i've called them a few times and they will go no further than to tell me: "just rename all your files to *.php5"

There was few people who tried that, but I don't remember any success stories. There was also many users who managed to get activeCollab up and running on GoDaddy. Support is not trying good enough...

agreed. I just got them to upgrade me to version 2.0 hosting so maybe that will help...

Cyberfiche provided instructions how to enable PHP5 without renaming all the files on GoDaddy in this comment.
