Hey this is great! Very good work. Thanks for the help in the other forums on helping me get this running on GoDaddy. Couple questions!

1. What is the difference between File Storages? By default mine was on "File System" and I have since uploaded quite a few .doc files. If I switch to Database (as recommended) it won't destroy my files somehow right?

2. Are there any really good stable themes to use for the look. I actually like the look of the site but I am just curious.

3. I might be changing my domain name soon..(same hosting just different domain) Will that be a huge problem? Will I need to edit it in my MySQL database? What about in ActiveCollab?

4. Is there a way to create another company under the same activeCollab installation?

5. For some reason my password doesn't seem to always work? Is this an issue or am I just forgetting my password :D

Once again, Great job!

1. If file system is working for you that keep using it and forget that File Storage option exists ;)
2. Check out Themes forum.
3. If you are changing domain name only that one change in config.php will do just fine. If you are moving entire site than you'll need to follow these instructions.
4. RSS can keep you notify on what is going on in the system or on specific projects. All you need to know about RSS is explained by others - start with this article.

Have fun :)

thanks again Ilija. I want to let you know I appreciate what's been done here. I did have some difficulties in installing this but it is mostly from my newbness to PHP and MySQL etc. I have recently set up a Wordpress blog as well (which was quite difficult) and one thing I really appreciate about what you've done is that I didn't have to edit any activeCollab files during my installation.

Couple more questions that I asked above while you were responding:

4. Is there a way to create another company under the same activeCollab installation?

5. For some reason my password doesn't seem to always work? Is this an issue or am I just forgetting my password :D

4. There are two types of companies in activeCollab:

* Owner company (can be only one per activeCollab installation)
* Client companies (as many as you want per installation)

You want to create a new owner or client company?

5. There was no complaints about password being reseted all the time. Please let me know if that problem persists.

hmm what's the difference between an owner and client company?

I wouldn't mind setting something up to manage another company I am starting up. So maybe it owuld be an owner company then... I just don't want anyone else to be able to access it....

Would I have to create another mysql database and another activecollab directory and all that again?

Owner company is the owner of the installation. For instance, you own company ACME and you set up activeCollab for collaboration with your clients. In that case ACME is the owner company and any client company that you want to bring into the system is client. Clients have a limited permissions.

I guess you'll need another activeCollab installation (new directory and new database) for other company you want to run.
