OpenGoo is not activecollab. It is a copy of it. The problem you have is that the installation files for openGoo don't work. The only "change" that was made to produce openGoo was to add File editor from a javascript textarea editor. Don't waste your time. The openGoo people don't know how to fix the installation files. And what they have done has nothing to do with activeCollab except that activeCollab 0.71 is open source. As in, open source for others to copy and customize, even when they don't know what they are doing.

oxocorporation,

The alpha release 0.2 fixes that issue. You should post those questions on the OpenGoo forum though.

royhack,

You make some statements that are right, but get others wrong.

1) OpenGoo is not activecollab. - Right
2) It is a copy of it. - Wrong. We use AC as we use FCKEditor, Trimspreadsheets, S5, and would use any OpenSource project with licenses that allow us to use it. That is the point of the OS community: lean on each other's shoulders
3) The only "change" that was made to produce openGoo was to add File editor from a javascript textarea editor. - Wrong. That was quite close the case for the 0.1 release, but have done a lot of improvement since. release 0.2 is out with a further improvements, and 0.3 is well on its tracks.
4) Don't waste your time. - My feeling is that our users are not wasting their time. Quite the opposite actually.
5) The openGoo people don't know how to fix the installation files. - Wrong. Proven with release 0.2
6) And what they have done has nothing to do with activeCollab except that activeCollab 0.71 is open source. - Wrong. We are using most of AC 0.7.1
7) As in, open source for others to copy and customize, even when they don't know what they are doing. - For what I could pick up (They don't know what they are doing) I can tell you that it is a wrong statement. We know what we are doing.
