SEE LAST POST HERE FOR LATEST- THX

I cannot for the life of me get the SMTP mail setup working. I keep getting "Notifier has failed to construct mailer object" when using SMTP secure settings. I'm sure my server settings are correct. Is there some folders/files that require certain permissions? If I uncheck secure SMTP settings, it says it goes through, but no mail appears in the mailboxes.

I also tried installing swiftmailer to use PHP, but I'm having difficulty installing that as well, as I'm pretty much a noob.

Any advice? THX

Also, I have no log.php file in the cache dir to check for errors - - I found that to be strange

I now have succefully tested the Swift mailer, via the test php files through my browser, now how do you modify the default php settings so they point to the swiftmail directory?

The test tool works, but when I tested it through a message, or milestone, I get no mail !!! Ay...
