One issue i will no doubt have with the system is getting my clients to use it rather than emailing me directly.
In another system i am trialling, it has the ability to carry on a discussion via email, so when a discussion is created, an email is sent to specified team members which you can select, when they replied to the email, the contents of the email are included in the discussion. The discussion "creator" is sent an email of their reply and can reply to that which also gets included in the discussion.
It does this by allowing the administrator to set up pop access to a specific email address which is the FROM/REPLY-TO address. The subject includes a unique discussion id which helps the system know which message to append the email message to.
Would you consider including this in upcoming releases?

This would be a killer feature and a real time saver, but it is not that easy for implementation. There is so many problems (SPAM, HTML email, IMAP and POP support...) that need to be properly addressed before something like this can be shipped to the end user. We'll see...

I would second this request in a big way. I have tickets, and subscribe key people to them. Then, as the comment string goes forward, it almost always ends up with it becoming an email discussion. It takes real discipline, and for customers, it takes extra time. So, if it can be worked, out, even as a plugin, I know I'd use it. I'd vote for IMAP.

You can release it in stages, i.e. text only and pop to begin with.

This would be *HUGE*. I've only been using the system for a couple days and already I'm running into this limitation.
