I did ask elsewhere in the forum, and checked the succinct User Guide, but can you give us an example of Tags and Categories, and do they have an influence with the search ? or do you have some kind of tag cloud coming ?

thks

Categories are good to organise tickets. Each ticket can be assigned to a certain category. Tickets can also be moved between categories.
For tags I could not find any use, because there is nothing to select elements by tags. At least I couldn't figure it out.

YOu can search on the tags you enter - provided they are longer than 3 characters.

Tags are handy, but the browser isn't really easy to get to... If you have some items tagged, you can see this 'lumping taxonomy' by manually accessing the project tag browser.

example:
/projects/21/tags/

They are handy where you might want to have an object appear in more than one category. I love tags - they provide me freeform categorization power.
