Used email address is in all cases an address of a user performing the action (ex. if Simon is adding a message you will get a notification from Simon).

Ok, not sure what I did (I don't think I changed anything) but email is working now.

One more question. No matter what email account on my domain I use for my configuration settings, email messages from aC always come from the same one. I'd like them to come from a specific address, something like "projects@mydomain.com."

Do you know of a way to do this, or do I need to just stick with this "default" behavior?

Thanks again for your help.

Looks to be the exact same settings that are working for me.

Have you looked for an error message in your /activecollab/cache/log.php?

Also log into godaddy go to 'my email' and enable smtp forwarding on the primary account (the one you're using in configuration-mailing).

You should be using the full email address for SMTP username (yourname@yourdomain.com).

Hope one of these works, I've been trouble free in all my activeCollab accounts on Godaddy.

Hi,
Sorry to call you guys out on the forums, I couldn't think of another way to get in touch with you.

(If an Admin wants to delete this post, I usnderstand)

Anyway, I know you guys both had issues getting email to work on GoDaddy hsting accounts, and I seem to be running into the same issue, so I was hoping you could help.

I currently have my settings as follows:
Mail Transport: SMTP Server
SMTP Server: smtpout.secureserver.net
SMTP Port: 25
Use SMTP authentication: Yes
SMTP username : "my username"
SMTP password : "my password"
Use Secure SMTP connection : No

When I try to test I get the error "Notifier has failed to construct mailer object"

Can either of you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.
