Think by default "Enable upgrade check" should be off.

MyISAM supports FULLTEXT indexes, InnoDB does not. FULLTEXT is required for search so that table is using MyISAM storage engine.
2. Start from here, but it does not sound like anything reported until now.

Btw, what is Denwer? Server? Where?
