Message post email notifications get sent twice

Hello,
I upgraded to 0.7RC1 by doing a manual upgrade (ie. just overwriting all files except /config, /upload etc.) and now every user is receiving 2 email notifications for every 1 message post made.
Also, as a sidenote, the homepage dashboard isn't updating correctly; it doesn't display new message posts made, even though the dashboards local to each project on their display all the changes made to their associated project as they should.

Upgrade to 0.7, not 0.7RC1.
