mike:
I did have a bit of a problem with the update procedure. The procedure itself was fine, but some of the data had to be massaged. Specifically, as part of the backup of the data, several of the date fields were exported as NULL (i.e. completed_on for tasks that hadn't been completed yet), and importing that data back in produced a bunch of errors (i.e. field X cannot be NULL).

Environment is TextDrive shared hosting - the environment is good, all the latest components. I was using CocoaMySQL-SBG to import/export the data.

After massaging the NULLs, everything 'looks' ok, but I haven't done a detailed analysis.

Hm. I don't know what happened. You could also go in the table structure and set so that columns can have NULL value.

It _may_ have been the case that CocoaMySQL-SBG exported the data out as NULLs but they weren't NULL. I'm not sure, and can't really test that anymore. What I did do was set those values to '0000-00-00' and the import ran fine.

What I'm really waiting for is the ability to re-order the task list. And yes, I know you've addressed it in another thread. :)

Have you published a roadmap anywhere? i.e. What features you're working on next, etc. I've looked, but I haven't found one.

Thanks Ilija, this is a great project you've started!

There was a list of features that will make up in the 1.0, but it went down with the site :) Here are some of them:

* API
* better files - versioning, comments, image thumbnails, searchable content for some types
* time tracking
* better tasks - more info + comments + file attachments + ordering by user order, importance, time added, by owner
* comment on anything + attach file to anything
* interface, more javascript + more user friendly

There is a lot of things that need to be done here. Trouble is that I spend more time supporting the script than making new things. Interesting :)

If you'd like some help with 'a lot of things that need to be done' (and I've very serious about this), I'd be very willing to help out.

ilija, leave the support to the mods & community and focus on the more important things! activeCollab is making such a buzz in the web, i just spoke to ben from copperproject.com and he also noticed aC as a big bleep on the radar!

for now,i will try to collect all of that information so "newbs" can easily find them and you have less to "support" or answer questions that have been answered before

cheers

Go talk to textdrive and get your site back :) There is a big need for wiki, or even better Trac, so you can outsorce some of the work :)

When textDrive "gets up" how do you plan to transfer data to Trac for example (if it will be available)?
