Where is this message sent? Is it something the hosting providers sees? Or is this something I should be able to see?

I hope someone can find a fix for the update error -- really makes activeCollab difficult to use effeciently.

Error messages are logged in /cache/log.php. Check yellow box beneath topic title for more details.

If you wish to disable upgrade check open config_options table (in phpMyAdmin or whatever MySQL management tool you have at hand) and set value of upgrade_check_enabled option to 0.
