Hello,

Please forgive if this has been covered, but I am getting the following error within the public/install directory:

# Error: /public/files is not writable
# Error: /cache is not writable
# Error: /upload is not writable

Trouble is, I don't see any of those directories while in my FTP client so that I can chmod them.

Help?

Can you see other activeCollab files and folders?

Yes:

/application
/config
/environment
/language
/library
/public
.htaccess
index.php
init.php
license.txt
readme.txt
vaersion.php

There is no "/cache" or "/upload" folders and there is no "files" folder within the "/public" directory.

Some FTP clients from some reason don't create empty folders. Create requested folders and make sure they have write permissions. That should do the trick.
