Newbie Question. Who/Where to properly use aC, Suggestions welcomed

Hello
I got AC running and made a project.
but I'm a bit confused (new to this project management)
I want to use it to manage the developing of say a website, MY website. So I make the project and the milestones, but where do I add the designers and programmers (which I hire) they are not clients. nor are my staff.
I would appreciate some comments or suggested setups, on how to deal with 'suppliers' If "I'm the client" and running the project.
all comments and pointers appreciated.

There is no Contractor role in activeCollab 0.7.1 so you can put them as your own stuff, or as clients depending the permissions you want to give them (members of your company usually have more permissions in a project that clients).

Contractors! I could not remember the right term. (english is my second language)
So is Contractors something we'll have in the future? V1?
Another newbie question... Theoretically, the appropriate way to use this tool, is to pass everything thru it, no more emailing to each other and sending files via email, instant messenger etc, to eliminate the disorder. Post there, upload there and discuss there. People will get email notification of updates.
