Is there any form of template projects that you can edit, save or create so that you don't have recreate a similar project every time? If so how is this handled in 1.0?

You can copy / move Discussion and Tickets to a new project, but just now, not all of the project.
AC has promised a solution very soon on this.
Anyway, i try using mostly Discussions and Tickets, then reuse them along. You can attach files, assign deadlines, tags, milestones, and team leaders, etc. so i can get along waiting for copy/paste/move on all actions,
