Hey everyone.

I think it is a good idea to encourage people in the community to work around problems, bugs and limitations in the shipping product. The activeCollab team members need to stay focused on producing stable well thought through releases. But that can take a while. In the meantime, I need stuff addressed right NOW! I don't necessarily need the perfect solution. I just need some way to get my job done.

For example: the Time tracking permissions are a little shacky in v1.0 and I needed that fixed. So I fixed it and posted the code to Tips and Tricks, but I think we should have a forum dedicated to Modifications and Hacks and Bug Fixes. This is an advanced topic and shouldn't be mixed in with more general tips and tricks.

Again I can't stress the importance of this to me enough. The reason I choose aC is because of your practice of making the code available for me to tweak and fix if necessary. (I don't mind coughing up the dough for you guys to make it pretty and stable. In fact I am glad to do it )

What do you say aC team? Can we have an new Forum?

Thanks

Todd
