Sort order of tasks under a check list

When opening a check list yo see all the tasks in order of creation date.
Would prefer to see the tasks in order of due date, first due date first, to see quickly the tasks that have to be done first

Tasks are ordered by priority, not creation time. Tasks with higher priority are first in the list.

Thanks for the prompt response.
In mine example it looked like they were sorted on creation time because they all had the same priority.
What if all the tasks have the same priority, is there still a second level of sorting possible, for example using the due date?

Tasks that have the same priority are sorted by creation time.
You can use Assignments page to sort tasks by Due Date. When you set ordering preferences the way you like them you can bookmark that page for future use.
