Client View vs Owner Company view
Page: 1
For projects we can have a third party company involved who are a business partner on a particular project.
This means they are assigned to the project, can view, download files, but make no changes.
Can we have the view by Client, and View by Group buttons available to them also? It would be helpful as they would have the same problems sorting through the list of projects as we have.

I need this looked into urgently.
I cannot give my third party business partners the same permissions as the Owner Company.
But I MUST be able to give them the "View by Client" It is unreasonable to have them search through 120+ Pages of Projects.
PLEASE look at giving third parties an option to view by Client, same as Owner Company sees.

This is quite serious, our "Client" company is actually the company that owns us. They are one of the largest telco's in the Southern Hemisphere.. Is there some hack we can do to make the "Client : Group" selections visible to all users instead of just the Owner Company?
We need this desperately, we can't wait some future update down the track, we bought the corporate version because we are a Corporation, we have many many projects, clear sorting and filteirng is crtical base functionality.
Thanks,

FortunWe have the option in our business of not choosing to allow access to Vendors or Clients. And the issue you raised, is precisely why we can't allow access.
A corporate edition of an application should have access and rights built in.
The ROLES function, allows creation of a group, but that is all. There seems to be no purpose to it, we need to set permissions as well.
The ROLES needs allow the admin to set the views to tabsets, levels of access, and functionality attribs.

@Ilija, what changes do I need to make to make our Clients have the same view?
@dshpe, I agree, the roles function is not very useful right now, as a Business I have some critical issues to face with both my parent company and local users having issues seeing what they need to see and getting access to what they need to without giving them all permissions.
Example: A project manager is assigned to many projects, he leaves the company or is assigned temporarily to other projects. We assign a new Project Manager to take over in the meantime.
To give the new project manager permissions we need to go through EVERY SINGLE project and manually assign permissions.
Simple solution? Being able to assign permissions to the Client Company, and thus all projects for that Client.
