In the previous version, the Admin was able to set the default Folders/Categories for the Files section. I no longer see the functionality in the Administration.

Now we have to recreate the folders/Categories for each Project. If you have dozens of jobs, this is such a nuisance it is a deal breaker in pushing the tool out to the Corporate environment. For a one off job it is acceptable, but in a Corporate environment the loss of this functionality is major problem.

Each Project will have 15+ Categories, and my Project Managers are pushing back really hard on the nuisance of having to key these in.

Yes, I agree.

It seems version 1.0 is very "Once off Project" focused.

This might be great for small one or three-man shows but for Corporate or even small business the design is fairly narrow.

We need some defaults that are attached to the Client, so only have to be set once. This per-project repetition needs to stop.

Per Client defaults could be:

Standard Folders for Files Area.
Permission Sets for Assignees (All project permissions for this client inherited from these defaults).
Standard Images for Projects taken from Client image, or Each Project Template set can have an image and the Project Image is taken from the Template Image.
Project Templates including Milestones that start in "TBA" status. (e.g to be set once project goes active).
Default Notifications and Escalations.
Default Forms

Defaults and Templates for the following are *must haves* for me:
* Project Statuses
* Categories and Groups
* Folders
* Checklists
* Tickets

I think this goes along with what you’re saying. Is it possible to auto-populate milestone, category and tag fields within the database so that a predetermined list is available for all projects yet still be editable (add new) by managing the respective items through the aC interface?

This is all part of the 'project template' functionality that Ilijah is keenly aware that we want. I'd be happy with the ability to clone a project, but until then I could make due with an ability to load milestones & checklists from a file, a la Basecamp.
