Something like that is already available in branch we are currently developing. We'll see what how it will look when we are ready to release that version.

Thank you for explaining your workflow. It really helps us to better understand how you are using activeCollab and see what things we can tweak and improve to make them work better and easier to use.

I run a web design business, in my team, I have two designers and two coders, and I'm the project manager, cum coder, cum client servicing, cum sales, cum making sure my staffs are happy by making available a system that makes their life easier (such as the use of activeCollab).

Let me explain how I use aC. After much trial and error, I have arrived at the following workflow.

Situation: A new project is secured
Step one: Create a company (and user if applicable)
Step two: Create a new project, and I use the project description to fill in the project brief (project objective, target audience, design requirements etc)
Step three: Add member to project
Step four: Create milestones (as project timeline) and assign members accordingly

The Milestones overview gives me a macro view of what needs to be done. And here comes the daunting part: I would start creating new tickets for things needed to be done in order to meet the milestones. But to do that, I have to travel thru and flo between Milestones and Tickets to make sure I didn't miss any details.

Having said the above, since we have to first create a Milestone, before we can link it to any checklist/ticket, how about adding the tabs in the Milestone details page, that lets us create new checklist/ticket from there, with the Milestone automatically being selected?

By the way, I use Ticket for works involving the team, and Checklist for my personal tasks (tasks that do not need a bunch of people to do) e.g. Send invoice, Collect down payment, etc.
