Recurring tasks are not available at current version of activeCollab.

"Send out this months invoice" and "Pay employee's payroll" are all being done in google calendar and need to be copied across to AC.

The recurrence would needed to be smart enough to do something like "Due on the 15th of the month" also "last day of the month" (which changes).
