Either I'm not searching correctly or the value of the search function is really limited on this board.

It appears that search is only ORing search terms rather than ANDing them. For example, I searched on "project overview" AND template and got 881 hits. This really limits the value of the search function if there is no AND or ability to refine searches.

If I'm doing this wrong, can someone let me know. Otherwise I guess this is a request to improve it...

Ilija, so am I correct that there is no "and" function available in a search? Meaning, if I want to find all records in this bulletin board that contain "Saint" AND "Patrick" ?

Sorry, search operators are not supported at the moment.

I'm sure you realize that you're board has grown to be too big to not have that and the result will frustrate users and cause you to receive more support queries.

I'm happy to learn from existing information but the last few searches I have tried have just turned up too much junk to sort through. with all due respect, it's pretty worthless right now.

I use google with site:www.activecollab.com/forums added in the query. solves everything.

Good tip, hard to believe Google is indexing everything in a support forum but I'll try it. But the board really should have this so we know it's most current and it's easier for users.

Try searching now. Engine is updated, it allows filtering results like ilija -studen, ilija studen, "ilija studen" +activecollab, etc.

Btw, if you want to search for "saint" AND "patrick", you should use "saint patrick" as a query.
