System is flexible so you can track time against anything in the project - discussion, comment, attachment or even another time record. activeCollab 1.0.x provides interface for recording time for tickets only. Next version will add support for tasks, but not checklists. We'll see how it will move forward based on the feedback we receive.

It should be possible to assign time to checklist/tasks - actually its already possible - but there is no button for it. But if you go into a checklist or a task you will se something like: http://www.activecollab.com/try/projects/xxxxx/checklists/yyyyy where yyyyy is the important - then you can just go to your time registeration: http://www.activecollab.com/try/projects/xxxxxx/time and add "?for=yyyyy" - then it will register the time on that one.

Yes, but several of us have asked for the ability to attach time directly to subtasks as well (ie tasks in checklists). If I recall correctly, I think Ilija indicated task-time entries was coming in v1.1

I think I just figured it out. It's related to Tickets, which can have time records associated with them.

Very clear and straight forward.

I've been looking through the posts and couldn't find an answer to the question.

Is it possible to track time based on tasks? I see the Time tab for the project, but that does not let me easily associate the time spent on specific tasks.

Is this possible with activeCollab? If so, how?

Thanks,
